GAPS Christmas Present Ideas

Christmas
Hi everybody! It’s that time of year again and I have to say I’m so glad that I’m finished my holiday shopping for this year. But for those of you who still need ideas I thought I would make a list of items you could get for GAPSâ„¢ people or for your foodie friends. Next week I’m going to posting easy homemade gifts you can make.

You can find more items on my Resource Page.

For the person who loves books or some new grain free recipes in the kitchen I would really recommend:

or

Onion Rolls

Healing Foods Onion Rolls

Those are my top two cookbooks, they are for the Specific Carbohydrate Diet (SCD) so they need an occasional tweak, but they have some of the best recipes. Like fried chicken in the one by Jodi Bager and wonderful Onion Rolls in the one by Sandra Ramacher. Sandra recommends using the Onion Rolls as Hamburger Buns. Yum!

If you want to get something a little bigger for the kitchen my top 3 tools would have to be:

We use our Vitamix everyday for everything from smoothies, pureeing soups, making frozen yogurt, and many other things. I truly believe the possibilities are endless. Definitely my #1 choice. The Cuisinart is helpful for cutting prep, liver pate, and such. With the Excalibur Dehydrator perfect for crispy nuts, yogurt, sour cream, and dried fruits and veggies. All 3 are excellent.
Christmas
Of course I have to mention that Christmas would be a perfect time to ask for Gut and Psychology by Dr. Natasha Campbell-McBride. I know several people who’ve found the book a little expensive so this might be the perfect time to ask for one for yourself or buy one for a friend.

What do you want this holiday season?

  1. Those look good books. I got a vitamix from DH last Christmas and an Excalibur the year before that. Such lovely, useful things to have. I like the picture at the top, it makes me think of Heidi or Little Women.

    1. I love books myself. I’m a book nut, so I always love finding and sharing great ones. The picture definitely makes me think of Little Women or Heidi too!
